Main Exam:

The Main Exam holds 4 subjects respectively. The two subjects are of General English and the total score is of 300 marks and General Knowledge which also has 300 marks as a total. Then the other two subjects have to be given in the choice of the candidates. So the candidates have to select any two optional subjects from the given list. You can select any of the two incorporate subjects except these blends they are:

  • Agriculture and Agricultural Engineering
  • Agriculture and Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science
  • Mathematics and Statistics
  • Agriculture and Forestry
  • Chemistry and Chemical Engineering

Also when you are required selecting Engineering subjects like  Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering means then only one is applicable not more than one subject.

Personality test and interview:

The purpose of this Personality test and interview is to verify whether the candidates are fit for the service. And they are stuffed with proper knowledge. This exam has 300 marks in total and the marks scored in the Main examination plays the major role in this exam. You will be interviewed by a skilled and professional person from Board.

Criteria:

The aspirants who are applying for the Indian Forest Service (IFS) examination have to possess with this criterion. That is

  • The age limit of the candidate is from 21 to 32 years
